What to Expect from Health Coaching Sessions

What to Expect

Your initial session is 45 minutes, and follow up visits are 30 minutes. All visits are held virtually on a video call with your health coach. The frequency of sessions is typically every 4 to 6 weeks. Your coach will help you identify your goals, create an action plan, and provide ongoing support through regular check-ins.

Sessions may focus on:

  • Nutrition

  • Exercise

  • Stress management

  • Chronic condition management

  • Building healthy habits

How to Join Your Visit

We currently schedule health coaching visits through a platform called Calendly, which is a different platform from your visits with your health care provider. If you're looking for the link to your health coaching visits, check your email inbox for an appointment confirmation email from your Visana health coach via Calendly. When you make the appointment, you can also add it to your calendar so that you have a handy reminder. Click the link in the invitation to join your visit.

Coverage

Many insurance plans cover health coaching as a preventive service. Our team will verify your benefits and let you know what’s covered before you begin.
