How to Message Your Provider

Steps to send a message directly to your Visana provider through the MyVisana Patient Portal after your first visit.

You can message your provider directly in the MyVisana patient portal messages section. Once your message is sent, you'll see it in the message thread with the provider - so you'll know it was sent correctly. Once you've sent a message, You can't delete it, but you can send us a follow-up message if you want us to disregard it, or you need to add information.

If you need help sending a message, let us know — a Care Coordinator can assist you with contacting your provider.

Providers typically respond to patient messages within 2 business days. When your provider responds to you, you will receive a notification by text and email, which prompts you to log back into MyVisana to read it.

Please note: You’ll only be able to message your provider after your first visit with them. If you need to contact our Care Team before your first appointment, select “Message with a Care Coordinator” on the same page. If you've seen multiple Visana Providers, you can message any of the providers you've had a visit with previously.
