Visana partners with Athena Health to manage patient invoices and payments. We recommend setting up your Athena account before your first visit so it’s ready when you need to pay any balances later.
Here’s how to create your account:
Log in to your MyVisana Patient Portal.
In the Upcoming Appointments section, look for the green dollar bill icon labeled “Need to Pay Your Bill?”
Click “Pay through AthenaHealth.” This will take you to Athena’s website.
Select “Create an Account.”
Enter your date of birth, email address (use the same one you used to schedule with Visana), and phone number.
You’ll receive a confirmation email to complete registration. (If you don’t see it after 5 minutes, check your spam or junk folder.)
Once your account is created, you can log in to the Athena portal anytime to view your balance and pay securely using a credit or debit card.
If you forget your password for Athena (which is separate from your MyVisana password), you can use the Athena password reset option from their main login page to create a new password. Just click the "Forgot password?" link and follow the instructions.
